Filmmaker Mariam Shahin seems to be again at how a blockade and wars in Gaza have decreased the hopes of its folks to mud.
Documentary director Mariam Shahin has been making movies about Gaza for greater than 30 years. She produced a documentary for Al Jazeera English in 2009, which instructed the tales of six units of Palestinians within the Gaza Strip whom she had adopted for 4 years. When she moved to Gaza in 2005, she felt a strong sense of optimism after the Israeli withdrawal. However by 2009, conflict had badly broken its infrastructure, neighbourhoods, companies and communities – and that optimism had evaporated.
In the midst of the present conflict, Mariam seems to be again at these tales and displays on the wasted potential, misplaced hope and devastated lives after 16 years of blockade, poverty and battle.
