U.N. Safety Council Fails to Move Gaza Stop-Fireplace Decision
China and Russia blocked a U.S. decision for a cease-fire in Gaza on the United Nations Safety Council.

The US put ahead a decision in good religion after consulting with all council members and after a number of rounds of edits. The overwhelming majority of this council voted in favor of this decision. However sadly, Russia and China determined to train its veto. The US will preserve at it. We’ll proceed to work towards a deal alongside Qatar and Egypt, and we are going to work with any council member that’s severely considering adopting a decision that may assist make that deal potential.
