Two adults and a juvenile have been arrested in Indiana after being caught with 576 containers of stolen child components value $22,495.41.
The adults, Edgar Ramirez and Nora Zarate, are reportedly from Dallas, Texas.
In a publish on Fb, the Boonville Police Division wrote that their officers had been dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress on Thursday.
“Officers had been informed that the suspects had stolen child components and left the parking zone. The suspect automobile was stopped close to SR261/Eskew Rd. Through the roadside investigation, Officers noticed a considerable amount of child components contained in the automobile,” the publish continued.
The automobile was impounded, and the officers utilized for a search warrant. Through the service of the warrant, the officers positioned the 576 containers of stolen child components.
The division mentioned, “This cease uncovered a bigger theft ring that included thefts from Walmart Boonville, Newburgh, Evansville Eastside, and Jasper.”
Boonville Police Sergeant Seth Kyle informed News 14, ”That is my first time ever working any kind of child components theft.”
