I discover it ironic that after years of a “holistic” method to school admissions with a dismissive angle towards standardized testing, faculties now are admitting that standardized ACT and SAT scores do predict pupil success.
For years, I’ve challenged the admissions director on the College of Washington to indicate objectively that the holistic method yielded excellence within the pupil physique. They’ve by no means confirmed me any goal customary of excellence, solely self-serving self-congratulations. With the reemphasis of goal requirements for admissions, I really feel vindicated.
