A California man has been arrested for stealing a human leg from a deadly practice accident — and consuming it.
The accident and subsequent cannibalism happened on the Amtrak station in Wasco on Friday.
1st Responder Media, who posted a video of the cannibalism, recognized the suspect as Resendo Tellez, 27.

“On March 22, 2024, at roughly 0800 hours, deputies from the Wasco Substation assisted BNSF Railroad Police with a pedestrian struck by a practice,” 1st Responder Media wrote in a publish on X, the platform previously often called Twitter.

Within the video of the incident, Tellez seems to be testing the leg, and sniffing it, earlier than deciding to take a chew.
At one level, Tellez appeared to wave on the individual filming earlier than fleeing together with his leg — swinging it as he went.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Workplace informed the New York Post that Tellez had a number of excellent warrants and was arrested for taking proof from the scene of an accident.
