Footage reveals a freight prepare and not using a driver on board rushing via a station in northern India.
Indian Railways has ordered an investigation after the unmanned prepare, which was on its technique to Punjab from Jammu, travelled greater than 70km (43.4 miles).
Officers say it started transferring down a sloping monitor after the motive force and his assistant bought off for a crew change.
The 53-wagon prepare, carrying stone chips, moved at a pace of almost 100km/h (round 62mph) and managed to cross about 5 stations earlier than it was dropped at a halt.
“The prepare was stopped after a railway official positioned wooden blocks on the tracks to cease the prepare,” officers instructed the Press Belief of India (PTI) information company.
Authorities closed off railway crossings alongside its path, and no-one was harm.
