Home Republicans are threatening to carry Soros-backed Fulton County District Lawyer Fani Willis in contempt for her refusal handy over paperwork associated an investigation into her workplace’s use of federal funds and misuse of federal funds, in line with a letter obtained by The Gateway Pundit.
Chairman Jordan’s workplace introduced: At this time, Home Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent a letter to Fulton County District Lawyer Fani Willis threatening to start contempt of Congress proceedings for Willis’s failure to adjust to the Committee’s subpoena and doc requests.
“The Committee issued a subpoena on February 2, 2024, after a number of makes an attempt to acquire voluntary compliance. The Committee added: Whereas Willis produced a slim set of paperwork on February 23, 2024, full compliance with the subpoena thus far has been poor. She has not produced any of the next classes of paperwork:
- All paperwork and communications referring or regarding any allegations of the misuse of federal funds by the FCDAO;
- All paperwork or communications between or among the many FCDAO and the Justice Division, together with its OJP and OVW elements;
- All communications between FCDAO workers concerning the receipt or use of federal grants;
- All paperwork that fall throughout the scope of the subpoena, such because the FCDAO’s Purposes, Proposal Abstracts, Grant Agreements, Monetary Administration and System of Inner Controls Questionnaire, and Consolidated Funds Abstract paperwork; and
- All paperwork and communications regarding the FCDAO’s Grant Efficiency Measurement and Progress Reporting Data.
Home Judiciary Republicans threatened to carry Fani Willis in contempt if she doesn’t produce the requested paperwork by March 28, 2024.
“When you have indicated that further paperwork could also be forthcoming in response to the Committee’s subpoena, the Committee has but to obtain any further responsive supplies within the three weeks since your preliminary response. Accordingly, the Committee expects that you’ll produce all responsive paperwork to the subpoena within the classes prioritized by the Committee no later than 12:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024. When you fail to take action, the Committee will take into account taking additional motion, such because the invocation of contempt of Congress proceedings,” Chairman Jordan’s workplace wrote.
