Chery Australia has recalled 5901 examples of its Omoda 5, after discovering a defect which can lead to brake failure for the small SUV.
The recall impacts all Chery Omoda 5s offered in Australia since native deliveries started in mid-2023.
“Resulting from a producing defect, the bolt securing the brake pipe union might not have been tightened sufficiently. This might trigger the brake fluid to leak and lead to diminished braking efficiency,” Chery stated in its recall discover.
